Lips are the most attractive feature on a face but dark, cracked lips can really be a big turnoff and make this feature a bad highlight. There are many causes of dark lips, excessive exposure to sun light, drinking tea and coffee and smoking.

What most of the women do to hide their dark lips is apply lip color of dark shades. They fail to understand that extensive use of lip color also result in black and dark lips. In fact, lipsticks are one of the major reasons causing the darkness. Lipsticks that are high on lead percentage are harmful as lead is the main ingredient causing this darkness. So be careful when you pick up your lip color.

Whenever you go out of the house, you should not miss applying sunscreen lotion. Lips are as important as the facial skin, specially apply the sunscreen lotion on your lips. This will reduce the effect of the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Another thing to do is exfoliate. While brushing your teeth in the morning, use your brush on your lips too. be gentle and with a light hand, rub your lips with tooth brush. This will remove a layer of skin and will be replaced by new fresh skin. After this, make sure you moisturize your lips well and not leave them dry.

LUDHIANA: Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training organised a function to felicitate students who were selected for airlines, hospitality sector and customer service.

Twelve students were placed in airlines, including Go Air, SpiceJet and Jet Airways. Frankfinn students also got placed in hospitality industry as front office executives in a restaurant named Lick-N-Chicken, Hotel Taj and Hotel Mahal.

Besides these, two students also got placed in the food court of MBD Neopolis Mall as customer care executives.

The students from the current batches performed song and dance items to congratulate their seniors.

Everybody wants to be young forever, and though it is only natural to age, one can always delay it. Homemade anti-wrinkle packs can actually be very effective. Three very simple and easy to make packs are:

First, take half of an avocado, mash it and spread it over your entire face and neck. Leave it on for twenty minutes and wipe your face clean.
Second, take one tablespoon of honey, a few strawberries (mashed) and one tablespoon of yoghurt. Apply the mixture onto your face for fifteen minutes

You suffer from various skin problems and with every new problem you tend to change your creams one after the other thinking it to be the cause of the problem. You fail to realize that it might be due to the unclean make up equipment that you use to apply your make-up. Hygiene is very important to be maintained as far your makeup is concerned. The various brushes and sponges that you use for daily application of make-up can get deposited with dust and bacteria which is transferred onto your face whenever you apply make-up using these unclean applicators. Sponges because of its absorbent property suck in a lot of colors as it the most applied tool for merging the makeup well on your face. The sponge, therefore, should be cleaned regularly and if possible it should be disposed off after a few applications. Cleaning of the sponges is not even difficult; you can clean it just like you clean your clothes with a liquid washing soap to remove all that deposited powder.
Your brushes should also be cleaned regularly, if it is not possible to clean them every day, then at least once a week they should be thoroughly washed with a solution of mild shampoo, water and alcohol. After cleaning properly, rinse them under warm water.
That eye lash curler that you use on your eye lashes, anyone hardly bothers to clean it. However, you must do it as when you curl your eye lashes using it, it gets spotter by mascara and if you don’t clean it, your instrument may get corroded. It does not even take long to clean, just remove it with a good make up remover and wipe it dry after cleaning with a sanitizer.
When you reuse your tools after cleaning make sure these are well dried. Also the kit that you store your entire make –up in maybe a favorite but you pay little notice towards its cleanliness. Also no matter how much you like your bag, change it every year.
So keep your tools clean for an even better effect of the make-up that you apply and also ensure that your skin remains healthy

Foo: Our employees showed their dedication to the SIA Group through the downturn, which, coupled with the loyalty of our customers, helped us come through the testing period stronger than ever. The support of our staff and the sacrifices each employee made were crucial to the group. Measures to cope with the surplus of personnel arising from capacity cuts included unpaid leave and shorter work-month schemes, in addition to salary cuts in accordance with the terms of our Union agreements. Everyone pulled together, highlighting the tight working relationship between manage¬ment and staff. We 'were nimble and flexible* - as a result, enabling timely decisions and the quick implementation of measures to address the situation at hand.

Ques: What is the inventiveness that Singapore Airlines has taken to conserve the
world's environment from global warming?

Foo: Singapore Airlines has a long term commitment to preserving and protecting the environment. We recently announced the donation of US$3 million in our first major involvement in a large-scale green project with long-term, sustainable benefits for the global environment. How big a threat is terrorism to the aviation industry?

No matter how big or small a threat it may be, the aviation security establishment world over has unchallengeable security protocol and measures in place to thwart any kind of terrorist activity. Since 9/11, there rarely have been any similar incidents and the credit goes to unbending aviation security. Instruments like full-body scanners have been installed to make sure nothing remains unnoticed. Credit also goes to the passengers who remain awake to anything even slightly suspicious. The famous example is the Christmas Day bombing attempt in the US last year that was foiled by some vigilant passengers. So there is no doubt whatsoever that terrorists will not get their way against a steadfast aviation industry under any circumstances.

Since ecology means study of environment, ecological tourism involves travelling to untouched and protected areas. It generally attracts ecologically and socially conscious individuals. Ecotourism is also important from the point of view of educating a traveller, generating funds for conservation, economic development, respecting cultural diversity and human rights. Other important features of ecotourism are promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation and creation of economic opportunities for local communities.

Frankfinn launches new short duration courses for Graduates and 12th Class pass students

AVIATION, HOSPITALITY AND TRAVEL: POISED FOR A BIG BOOM.
Aviation, hospitality and travel industries are in for exponential growth. The aviation industry is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate of over 25%. India needs 400 airports and 300 aircraft in the next decade. Also, the hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. According to the tourism ministry, hotels in India will have a shortfall of 150,000 rooms. This sector is expected to be the second largest employer in the world by 2019.

Hello budding flight attendants! Want to sore the skies? Here is a guide that will help you get through your interview. For those who think sky is not the limit, read on!

Questions related to your ‘Behavior’

Here are a few examples of such questions that you may encounter in an interview.

1. Give an example of a situation where you had to handle a irritated customer and the outcome.

2. Give an example of a situation where you were not being supported by your employer and how you handled it.

3. Give an example of a situation where you had to go the extra mile to please a customer.

In order to answer these questions there is a technique which should be followed. Before your interview, you should retrospect in your life and try to pick out some experiences that you think are relevant to a flight attendants position. When speaking about your memory, you should state the (1) experience, (2) how you handled it, and (3) the outcome.

Questions related to specific ‘Scenarios’

These types of questions are also called problem-solving questions.
Usually scenario based questions put the person in a disarrayed situation on an airplane where a passenger has a problem. Here are some common questions that are asked.

Question 1: A passenger in the coach cabin says he noticed that the passengers in the first-class cabin were given newspapers and he would like one too.

Question 2: A woman changes her infant's diaper during the meal service and asks that you dispose of the dirty diaper for her.

Question 3: A man is making a business call on the in-flight telephone. He complains to you that he can't hear because the baby next to him won't stop crying.

Answer 1: You should tackle the situation by explaining it to the passenger that first class passengers get newspapers complimentary, and that they pay extra to avail these benefits. Then you should explain that you would try to get a newspaper from one of the passengers if they are done reading with it.

Answer 2: You should inform the passenger that you would be happy to dispose the diaper at the conclusion of the meal service. You could also recommend the passenger that she dispose the diaper herself in the lavatory. In either case the diaper should be disposed in an air sickness bag.

Perfumes, Scents, and Odors in the Workplace:
Do not let the first impression you make about yourself be your personal scent preferences!

Avoid wearing perfume and heavily-scented products in all business settings. You might like them, but they have no place in a business environment. Scents can trigger asthma, overpower a room, and are often more offensive than pleasing to others. Never smell like smoke (if you smoke in a car, your clothing will always pick up the odor).

How to Present Professional Looking Fingernails and Hands:

Women often use hand gestures while talking; as such as such their hands become a focal point. It is important to have hands and fingernails looking neat and clean -- not like you are heading out for a wild night on the town.
Nails should be clean, and trimmed or sculpted. Avoid wearing unusual or shocking nail colors. Nail art and nail jewels are not acceptable.

Hairstyling Tips for Women:
Style should be neat and conservative, and preferably off the face. With few exceptions, hair color should not be shocking or unusual (leave blue hair for Halloween). Hair sprays and gels that have a strong scent or odor should be avoided.

Makeup Advice:

Keep it simple and appropriate for daytime. Wearing no makeup at all is almost as bad as wearing too much makeup.

Appropriate Jewelry for Women:

Jewelry should not be noisy (no metal bangle bracelets), too large, or costume jewelry. Keep earrings small, simple, and above the earlobe.
It is better to wear no jewelry at all, than to wear too much jewelry. But all business women should at least wear a nice, conservative wrist watch.

Demonstrating that you care about your personal appearance communicates, to the person whom you are meeting, that they are important to you. How to become an air hostess

Career choices are coming of age today and parents are becoming more open about the various career options their children can take up. One of the most popular options today is becoming an air hostess. With many private air lines, both national and international coming into India, requirement for cabin crew staff has increased greatly and the demand is ever increasing. That’s not all; it is an extremely well paying and respectable profession.

So how does one go about becoming an air hostess?

First and foremost, there are a few requirements that the air lines need the candidate to fulfill. A candidate must have a minimum height of 63 inches. This is required because as an air hostess, the candidate will have to help people put things up in the compartments above the seats.

A certain level of fitness is required as there are long travelling hours. Plus they need to help out with the luggage, push the food carts and need to be quick to open the emergency exits when required.

The candidate must be at least 18 years to apply for most air hostess jobs. They need to have passed 12^th grade exams at least to become eligible. They must have legal residency proof and a valid passport.

A formal training course helps in the preparation to appear for cabin crew job interviews with airlines. If one gets selected with an international airline then the equivalent of approximately 3 months salary covers the entire investment in the course fee.
