Flight Attendant Employment Interview Questions:

Hello budding flight attendants! Want to sore the skies? Here is a guide that will help you get through your interview. For those who think sky is not the limit, read on!

Questions related to your ‘Behavior’

Here are a few examples of such questions that you may encounter in an interview.

1. Give an example of a situation where you had to handle a irritated customer and the outcome.

2. Give an example of a situation where you were not being supported by your employer and how you handled it.

3. Give an example of a situation where you had to go the extra mile to please a customer.

In order to answer these questions there is a technique which should be followed. Before your interview, you should retrospect in your life and try to pick out some experiences that you think are relevant to a flight attendants position. When speaking about your memory, you should state the (1) experience, (2) how you handled it, and (3) the outcome.

Questions related to specific ‘Scenarios’

These types of questions are also called problem-solving questions.
Usually scenario based questions put the person in a disarrayed situation on an airplane where a passenger has a problem. Here are some common questions that are asked.

Question 1: A passenger in the coach cabin says he noticed that the passengers in the first-class cabin were given newspapers and he would like one too.

Question 2: A woman changes her infant's diaper during the meal service and asks that you dispose of the dirty diaper for her.

Question 3: A man is making a business call on the in-flight telephone. He complains to you that he can't hear because the baby next to him won't stop crying.

Answer 1: You should tackle the situation by explaining it to the passenger that first class passengers get newspapers complimentary, and that they pay extra to avail these benefits. Then you should explain that you would try to get a newspaper from one of the passengers if they are done reading with it.

Answer 2: You should inform the passenger that you would be happy to dispose the diaper at the conclusion of the meal service. You could also recommend the passenger that she dispose the diaper herself in the lavatory. In either case the diaper should be disposed in an air sickness bag.
